Craig Auer, CEO/ Assurer of Client Satisfaction
What makes Craig stand out among his peers is that he shares many commonalities with his clients and that he treats everyone like family. He has been an employee, a corporate executive, owned and operated a retail store, was a sole proprietor, and is currently a service business owner and employer.
With over 30 years’ experience, Craig has helped significantly lower overhead for hundreds of businesses. As a Fort Collins CPA, Craig serves clients all over Colorado, nationwide, and even Hawaii! It’s Craig’s passion for his work and his clients that helps him make organizations successful through planning, budgeting, financial reporting, systems, and controls.
When it comes to his private life Craig is a risk-taker. He has bungee jumped in Mexico, enjoys riding on zip lines whenever he can, and has taken up the sport of wakeboarding.
Craig was born and raised in Billings, MT. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Montana State University – Billings. He moved to Fort Collins, CO in 1998 to start his own accounting firm and to raise his two children. His son is now married; he and his wife are the parents of Craig’s two adorable grandchildren.
Judy Lewis, Integrator/ Operations Manager
Judy’s passion is helping people with taxes and solving financial “puzzles”. She loves to see the pieces of the financial puzzle and put them together to create a favorable financial picture and a good tax outcome for her clients. She loves working with the diverse and skilled team at AuerCPA Co. because together, they get things done!
Judy has been an Enrolled Agent for 4 years and has over 20 years of experience in accounting services. Early on, she worked for a heating and air conditioning company where she started out as a payroll clerk. With her hard work and education she steadily moved up the ladder and became the Controller of that company.
She later opened her own accounting firm in Craig, CO which was acquired by AuerCPA Co.
Judy holds a degree in Accounting from The University of Phoenix which she acquired while working full time and raising a family. She recently received her MBA with a specialization in Taxation from The University of Denver.
In her spare time, Judy enjoys four-wheeling, hiking in the mountains, spending time outdoors and hanging out with her husband, kids and grandkids.
Judy’s life philosophy is: “Find a goal, find a dream. You might not get it today, but keep pursuing it and you will achieve your goal.”
Michael Auer, Assurer of Client Satisfaction – Fort Collins
Michael has been working as an accountant for AuerCPA Co. for over 6 years. He especially enjoys meeting with clients and creating a strategic plan for their finances. He says, “We are more than ‘just’ tax people. We want to provide value to each client by helping them see how they might do things differently to achieve their end goals.”
Michael enjoys working at AuerCPA Co. because of the open environment and the collaborative culture that is in place. The staff has the freedom to collaborate on projects and they can talk about anything!
He began his career at AuerCPA Co. doing payroll and bookkeeping before finishing college at Colorado State University. He earned a degree in Business with a specialization in Accounting. He is currently working on his MBA in Accounting at CSU Global.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing board games, video games and hanging out with friends. He is the father of two rambunctious kids and believes if we put “family first”, everything else lines up.
Kalene Reidinger, Assurer of Client Satisfaction – Meeker
Kalene has worked for Tax Time in Meeker for over 15 years. She has a degree in accounting from the University of Northern Colorado. Kalene has deep roots in the Meeker community. Her grandparents bought a 200-acre ranch there in 1943. She grew up spending time at the ranch, lived there with her grandmother for a short time after college, and now owns it along with her mother. Kalene met her husband in Meeker in 2013 and they are happy parents to their almost 3-year-old daughter.
