Craig Auer, CEO/ Assurer of Client Satisfaction
Craig brings over 30 years of experience in Northern Colorado accounting services, specializing in business tax planning, fractional CFO solutions, and business advisory for small businesses. His background as an employee, corporate executive, retail owner, and service business leader gives him unique insight into the challenges clients face.
As a Fort Collins CPA, Craig has helped hundreds of businesses nationwide—lowering overhead, improving cash flow, and strengthening financial systems through planning, budgeting, and reporting. His passion lies in helping organizations stress less and grow more with smart, strategic accounting solutions.
Outside of work, Craig loves a good adventure. He’s bungee jumped in Mexico, ziplines whenever he gets the chance, and recently picked up wakeboarding for a new thrill. Originally from Billings, MT, Craig earned his Bachelor’s degree from Montana State University – Billings before making the move to Fort Collins in 1998. It was here that he launched his own accounting firm and raised his two kids. Today, he’s proud to be a grandpa to two adorable grandchildren who keep life just as exciting as any zipline.
Judy Lewis, Integrator/ Operations Manager
Judy is an Enrolled Agent with a strong passion for tax preparation and turning complex financial “puzzles” into clear, actionable solutions. With over 20 years of experience in accounting and tax planning for small businesses, Judy proudly serves clients in Craig, Colorado and the surrounding Western Slope community.
Her specialties include individual and business tax returns, strategic tax planning, and building systems that simplify compliance for business owners. Judy’s extensive background—rising from payroll clerk to Controller, then owning her own accounting firm—reflects her commitment to helping clients achieve financial clarity and success.
Judy holds a degree in Accounting from The University of Phoenix which she acquired while working full time and raising a family. She recently received her MBA with a specialization in Taxation from The University of Denver.
In her spare time, Judy enjoys four-wheeling, hiking in the mountains, spending time outdoors and hanging out with her husband, kids and grandkids.
Judy’s life philosophy is: “Find a goal, find a dream. You might not get it today, but keep pursuing it and you will achieve your goal.”
Michael Auer, Assurer of Client Satisfaction – Fort Collins
Michael has been working as an accountant for AuerCPA Co. for over 6 years. He especially enjoys meeting with clients and creating a strategic plan for their finances. He says, “We are more than ‘just’ tax people. We want to provide value to each client by helping them see how they might do things differently to achieve their end goals.”
Michael enjoys working at AuerCPA Co. because of the open environment and the collaborative culture that is in place. The staff has the freedom to collaborate on projects and they can talk about anything!
He began his career at AuerCPA Co. doing payroll and bookkeeping before finishing college at Colorado State University. He earned a degree in Business with a specialization in Accounting. He is currently working on his MBA in Accounting at CSU Global.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing board games, video games and hanging out with friends. He is the father of two rambunctious kids and believes if we put “family first”, everything else lines up.
Kalene Reidinger, Assurer of Client Satisfaction – Meeker
Kalene has served the Meeker community for over 15 years, providing personalized tax preparation, business tax compliance, and accounting services for small businesses on the Western Slope. Her deep local roots and accounting degree from the University of Northern Colorado make her a trusted resource for individuals and business owners alike.
Kalene is passionate about helping clients simplify their financial lives with clear guidance and practical solutions—whether it’s filing accurate returns or planning for long-term success.
Kalene has deep roots in the Meeker community. Her grandparents bought a 200-acre ranch there in 1943. She grew up spending time at the ranch, lived there with her grandmother for a short time after college, and now owns it along with her mother. Kalene met her husband in Meeker in 2013 and they are happy parents to their almost 3-year-old daughter.
